Mercenary

Many would argue that mercenaries are not Assassins, but thugs for hire. As long as they get their mark and their coin they don't care what you call them. Where the other brotherhoods use stealth and guile mercenaries use traps, numbers and brute force.

Most marks don't know what's in store for them until there is no escape left to them. Other assassins will execute their target quickly without warning. But in those occasions where inormation must be extracted, an example must be made or the mark is to be delivered somewhere alive than it is a mercenary that is called upon.

Many mercenaries begin as common highwaymen, robbing merchants and traders. If they survive this vicious life where their accomplices pose just as much of a threat as the authorities, they may or may not catch the attention of one of the local mercenary brotherhood. When offered to join a mercenary brotherhood the choice is really more of a lethal ultimatum.
