Rank

Rank is essentially the titles that professional soldiers can obtain. These are awarded to players who enlist, during a battle, to serve a player who has chosen the Prince or Princess profession. They are awarded after combat by the generals.

The professions Prince and Princess have yet to be listed on this blog as much of their skillsets and involvement will revolve around city management skills as well as ally skill boosts. So their creation will come much later in development.

These ranks are also a way to allow players to hire NPCs of varying quality to bulk up their forces and/or party. NPCs will earn xp and level up independently during their time employed. the player has no control over the NPCs choices, though they will evolve based on their effectiveness in combat. Unlike many other games, NPCs in Epimetheus will neither be static in capabilities nor locale.

  1. I like what you did with the soldier, officer, naval, and officer ranks. Very military of you. The break down of ranks throughout came out exceptional. Big ups to the over all lay out!
