Brigadier

   Brigadiers are a battlefield necessity. They build and operate siege equipment on the field. Without this skillset many would-be conquerors would find themselves defeated and ashamed. It is far easier to defend a castle than it is to overtake one.

On an open battlefield siege equipment must be moved, operated and occasionally defended. This is what Brigadiers live for. They understand the necessity for a level surface, how trajectories can land a fair distance from their target due to wind or a slight miscalculation and adjust accordingly.

While a brigade might not be able to withstand a calvary charge, or go toe to toe with a skilled unit of greatswords they are stalwart fighters nonetheless. They are particularly efficient at combat in confined spaces. When manning a siege tower Brigadiers are tasked not only with moving the gargantuan structure into place but also defend it from enemy infiltration.
