Martial Artists

Knights serve a liege and pursue honor through service. Barbarians pursue glory through victory on the battlefield. Magicians pursue power through knowledge from a lifetime of study. But Martial Artists seek to spread their techniques and immortalize themselves through their style of combat.

You will not find a Martial Artist, also known as a Monk, on a battlefield unless their settlement is under siege. They simply do not concern themselves with the turmoil of politics. They take a far more neutral approach. For this reason dojos serve more as an extra line of defense. But that does not mean that they should be underestimated. 

There have been dojos that have turned the tide of battle, monks that have accomplished legendary feats and fighting styles that are forever taught in Aborlon. There is an annual competition where dojos pit their styles against one another. The winner of the tournament is honored in every dojo on the continent until the next champion is decided.
