A Smithie, or Blacksmith, is a Trade Profession that takes refined metal ore and fashions it into a complex good such as armor, weapons, tools or machinery parts. Their two primary attributes are Constitution and Wisdom. There are three specialized professions that make up the Trade 'Smithie': Armorsmith, Fendersmith, and a Weaponsmith. No kingdom can survive without a good Smithie to forge them the tools needed to build and maintain an empire.

Armorsmith

An Armorsmith creates various means of protection for adventurers, soldiers, lords, mounts, familiars, and pets. From common chainmail to full plate mail, from a peytral to a dragon gauntlet Armorsmiths are the craftsman known as the shield-crafters of Epimetheus. If an Armorsmith takes the time to learn the Tanner trade as well they will eventually be able to craft dragon scale armor, some of the best armor available in the game.

Fendersmith

Fendersmiths are a unique and fundamental tradesman for any fiefdom looking to sustain itself. They not only forge some of the most common tools for farming but also fashion gears, sprockets, pulleys, levers, and many, many more gizmos and gadgets needed to manufacture a functioning keep. A Fendersmith who also studies the art of engineering can turn the tide in a siege, producing the highest end machines of war found in Epimetheus.

Weaponsmith

Weaponsmiths are some of the most common smithies found in the nine realms. Their wares can be found scattered throughout all of the seven continents. From simple daggers of steel to adamantium greatswords Weaponsmiths equip adventurers and soldiers alike with the tools of carnage. In fact, there are so many Weaponsmiths vying for the attention of the Lords and Kings of renown that many provide simple sharpening and modification services just to earn enough to survive the winter.
