Sorcerer

Sorcerers are an interesting class. All begin in another class, as they pursue their own desires. Eventually their Sorcerer's blood manifests itself in one form or another leading their Guild and guildsmen to reject them. They are banned from their profession and their lives are turned upside down through no fault of theirs.

For many generations Sorcerers were oppressed for their wild magic, many were executed. Wild magic was considered a disease that needed to be rooted out and exterminated. It was a terrifying time for anyone who had wild magic. As a result people who eventually manifested this magic were persecuted, enslaved or burned alive.

In the course of time a Sorcerer by the name Centrics Blankslate managed to charter a Guild for the displaced Sorcerers. He did this at great risk, but his wild magic had manifested as a oral charming ability. By creating the guild he legitimized his kind and put a stop to the prejudice. With a place to turn for answers and safety wild magic slowly became a novelty. Today wild magic is widely tolerated and even celebrated in some communities.

Sorcerers are not Sorcerers by choice. Little is known about why some people develop innate magic. It happens usually near the end of their adolescence. There is no warning or signs, just a sudden manifestation of innate magic. This "changing" occurs in every race, affects the poverty stricken and royalty, has been witnessed in wildlife and even the gods cannot prevent it from running its course.
