Tailor
Tailors are another unique profession. There are three unique aspects to this trade. However, a Tailor can focus on any of the three specialties at any given time. While there are bonuses for clearing specific tiers in each matrix they are free to spend their exp where ever they see fit. Crafting clothing really is an art, and artists do not function well under too many restrictions.
The three skill trees found in this profession are Textiles, Weaving and Dying. They each focus on an aspect of the profession. Textiles for example covers the skill it takes to fashion clothing made of wool, cotton, and silk. It includes the knowledge to build padded armor, capes, tapestries, carpets and many many more. It is offers a tailor many outlets for their artistic talents.
The Weaving skill tree opens up crafts such as, fishing nets, baskets, wicker armor, satin, goblin shields, mats, rope, and many outdoor hats. They have the ability to braid and can use many different materials within their trade and abroad. Dwarven weavers are known for their steel cables, which are really just braided steel wires.
Dying is a the pursuit of adding vibrant colors to cloths, grasses, leathers as well as producing paints for metals, woods and even faces. They make dyes, paints, dips and coatings. This skill tree requires many ingredients that can only be obtained through an alchemist. One thing that cannot be disputed, is that their profession adds life to any culture. An experienced Tailor who has perfected dying can offer mixtures to Smelters that will color their metals, and ingredients to Potters to color their glass.
